WHERE your DRAWINGS FINALLY CATCH UP to your DESIGN IDEAS
An eight-week landscape graphics course | Enrollment opens January 5, 2027
- GardenComm Gold Laurel Award Winner -
You can see it so clearly in your head.
You know exactly how the garden should feel. The curve of the path, the layers of planting, the bench tucked under the tree. But when you sit down to draw it, what lands on the paper doesn’t look anything like what you imagined.
So you tuck the sketch away. Or apologize for it before anyone has even looked.
When we were little, we drew without a second thought. Somewhere along the way, many of us decided we just aren’t artists.
Here’s what I want you to know…you don’t have to be an artist. You just need a process.

Imagine yourself after taking Garden Graphics Tool Kit
You're sitting down with a new garden idea…and instead of that familiar knot in your stomach, you simply begin. It isn’t perfect. It doesn’t need to be. It looks like you. And for the first time, your eye and your hand feel like they’re on the same team.
I really enjoyed Garden Graphics Tool Kit and learned so much. Before enrolling, I felt like my garden plan drawings didn’t have a true style. I was always trying to fix and hide the "mistakes" that I saw. Lisa celebrated the special things about my drawings that I used to consider flaws. She encouraged me to keep exploring my style and trying new things. After taking the course, I realized that we all have a unique style inside each of us. Now my style feels more cohesive, my drawings are more engaging, and I am able to focus on designing creative landscape solutions instead of dwelling on perceived mistakes. I feel much more confident now!
The inspiration and advice I received from all of my talented coursemates during my time in Garden Graphics Tool Kit was invaluable. I've made so many new friends from all around the world!

What's Inside, at a glance:
Garden design is really about creating outdoor rooms. So that’s how we’ll learn to draw them.
We’ll start with lines, the foundation of every drawing. Then we’ll build a garden room one layer at a time: the floor, the walls, the ceiling, and the furniture that makes it livable. Finally, we’ll bring it all to life with color and perspective. Modules are listed below.
