MYSTERY IN THE GARDEN

Mystery is a beautiful way to lead someone through a garden and pique their curiosity. Have you ever been compelled to walk down a path or pass through a garden gate to see what comes next? By gently guiding a visitor from one garden room to the next with intriguing elements your outdoor spaces become dynamic (with a dash of fascination).

MYSTERIOUS GARDEN TECHNIQUES

Try some of these techniques to incorporate mystery into your garden:

Unknown Destination: When the destination can't be seen, it pulls us into explorer mode. Try curving a path into the unknown.

Focal Points: A special object in the distance is a great tool to pull someone into a space and instill curiosity. Once your visitor reaches that focal point, surprise them with a fun garden room.

Thresholds: This is the point you pass through to go from one space to another. This can be extra special when it's a pretty gate, stately hedge or funky arbor.
