Before you draw anything…start with an idea.

A step-by-step workbook for creating a garden concept that’s all your own.

You've been collecting for a while now. Pinterest boards full of gardens you love. Pages torn from magazines. Photos from garden tours and notes in the margins of your favorite books. You can see the garden in your head. But when it's time to start, you wonder how all those pieces fit together, and whether you're doing it right.

Here's the thing. You don't have to figure out where everything goes yet. The first step in a design isn't drawing at all. It's developing an idea.

The Peanut Butter + Jelly Garden workbook walks you through five simple steps to develop a garden concept that starts with what you love…so every color, shape, material, and plant has a reason to be there.

Imagine yourself after taking Garden Graphics Tool Kit

You're sitting down with a new garden idea…and instead of that familiar knot in your stomach, you simply begin. It isn’t perfect. It doesn’t need to be. It looks like you. And for the first time, your eye and your hand feel like they’re on the same team.

I really enjoyed Garden Graphics Tool Kit and learned so much. Before enrolling, I felt like my garden plan drawings didn’t have a true style. I was always trying to fix and hide the "mistakes" that I saw. Lisa celebrated the special things about my drawings that I used to consider flaws. She encouraged me to keep exploring my style and trying new things.  After taking the course, I realized that we all have a unique style inside each of us.  Now my style feels more cohesive, my drawings are more engaging, and I am able to focus on designing creative landscape solutions instead of dwelling on perceived mistakes.  I feel much more confident now!

The inspiration and advice I received from all of my talented coursemates during my time in Garden Graphics Tool Kit  was invaluable. I've made so many new friends from all around the world!

What's Inside, at a glance:

Garden design is really about creating outdoor rooms. So that’s how we’ll learn to draw them.

We’ll start with lines, the foundation of every drawing. Then we’ll build a garden room one layer at a time: the floor, the walls, the ceiling, and the furniture that makes it livable. Finally, we’ll bring it all to life with color and perspective. Modules are listed below.
