The Garden Designers’ Retreat is five days in Des Moines this coming June… a small group of garden designers, together in real gardens.
We’ll visit private gardens made by real people with real stories. Designers who pivoted from other careers. Gardeners who trusted their own eye long before anyone called them a designer. I think you’ll find yourself in more than a few of them.
So much of design work happens alone at a drawing table. For a few days, it won’t. You’ll share meals, sketch, journal, and walk the gardens side by side with people who love this work as much as you do.
Each day has one word to guide it. See. Wonder. Love. Trust. Not a lesson…just a lens to carry with you as you explore.
