Creating a Color Palette From a Theme

color palette

I love color in the garden, but often feel overwhelmed when trying to make choices.  One way to narrow down your color focus is to choose a theme. Picking an object, food or even an emotion can help you select one fabulous color or an unexpected combination. Selecting a color palette this way provides an underlying story for your garden too.  Wouldn't it be fun to say your orange and pink colors where inspired from your favorite breakfast fruit?

Color is a wonderful way to help narrow down your plant choices, while it's also fun to incorporate color into your furniture, containers, hardscapes and structures. Make a color statement with a fun theme!
