Cut and Paste Garden

flower illustrations

A fun way to approach planting design is to visualize your garden in elevation (looking at your garden as if you were standing in front of it). Once you've made a list of plants for your new area, either draw or find photos of them, then cut them out. This method will allow you to arrange and rearrange until you like the final composition. Once you're happy with it, you'll have a plan (in elevation, of course) for your new space!
