Stippling a Lawn

example of stippling on a lawn space

Stippling is an art technique that uses small dots to create a larger image. In this case, I'm using stippling to add extra character and spatial definition to a landscape plan.

I like to use stippling for lawn spaces. It is a delicate texture (that doesn't overtake a landscape plan), yet still powerful enough to help define spaces graphically.

I've made a graphic below to show you some dos and don'ts of stippling on plans.
